The year was 1996. The city was Atlanta. Then it was the “Magnificent Seven,” the US Women’s Gymnastics Team who won the historic first Gold Medal for the US in a women’s team competition in the Olympics.

This time, it’s the “Fab Five” who are on the center podium receiving the Gold Medal for the Women’s Gymnastics Team for the 2012 Olympic Games. This fabulous women’s team includes Gabby Douglas, McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman, Kyla Ross, and Jordyn Weber, and they have been the favorite to win this division of the Olympics since completely dominating the world championships held in Tokyo in 2011.
